Foul in Transition, Offensive Foul, offensive player holds off opponent
This is anexample of an offensive foul in transition. A player may not hold an opponent for any reason. On this play, the highlighted offensive player will reach back with his left arm and illegally hold the left arm of his opponent, impeding his opponent’s progress and limiting his ability to defend on the play. This illegal contact by the offensive player is correctly ruled to be an offensive foul.
