Loose Ball Foul, jumper grabs opposing jumper’s arm
This is an example of a loose ball foul, occuring during a jump ball. During a jump ball, neither jumping player may affect their opposing jumper’s ability to tap the ball. On this play, the jumper in the white uniform will use his left arm to lock his opponent’s right arm, taking away his opponent’s opportunity to tap the ball. Since the offended player was attempting to tap the ball, and his freedom of movement was clearly affected, a loose ball foul would be assessed to the player in the white uniform.
