Not an Offensive Foul, flop by post defender, defender enhances contact, legal play
This is an example of a “flop” by a defensive player. Officials will not reward players who flop in an attempt to draw a foul call on their opponent. On this play, the post defender attempts to enhance marginal contact in an effort to draw an offensive foul. The officials correctly DO NOT reward him for his actions, and the offensive player completes the play with a successful field goal. This play is correctly ruled a “no call”.
